Marshall share of Coal Bowl tickets sold out

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall University football fans will be in hostile territory for the Sept. 27 game against West Virginia University, but they haven't shrunk from the prospect.

Marshall announced Thursday that all 5,000 of its tickets for the general public have been sold out. The tickets, going for $52 each, were first sold only to Big Green members, and then to the public.

There are still 700 tickets for Marshall students that will be sold Sept. 2 at the Cam Henderson Ticket Center. Those tickets, available on a first-come, first-serve basis, will cost $52 with a valid university ID.

To all the WV-Pew fans: Have fun this year. After this year, WVU will fall off the radar, never to be heard from again.

I live in Martinsburg and would not go across the street to see WVU play in any sport. Get the drinking, verbal abuse, and crowd control under control and then US MU fans might consider coming up or over to motown hole to experince big time football or any other sporting event. Until then cancel the football series. Who in there right mind would want their family to visual all that sin in one town. Makes our state look good in the media. Suggestion, 60,000 of your fans need to go back to school and learn how to have fan support and visiting team respect. Until then, I would rather stay home. Been there and will not go again. Go Herd and PLAY someone else like V-Tech. They will not play WVU either.

I had no idea you could cash in food stamps and Camden park gift certificates to buy Marshall football tickets!
