ECU looking for upset against WVU

GREENVILLE, N.C. -- There wasn't much time for Skip Holtz to enjoy his signature victory at East Carolina. Not when the Pirates had to figure out a way to follow it up.

Congratulations, East Carolina - by upsetting 17th-ranked Virginia Tech, the Pirates took an impressive first step toward busting into the BCS. Now for the harsh reality. They've got to do it again this week against No. 8 West Virginia, or else they can pretty much forget about reaching one of those big bowls.

After the Pirates stunned the Hokies 27-22 on a blocked punt with fewer than two minutes left, Holtz said the Pirates have learned how to win. Now they've got to learn to handle winning.

I agree WVU will be a MUCH greater test for the Pirates than Va. Tech was, not taking anything away from Va. Tech. I think that ECU has a realistic chance to beat WVU this year & they will be carrying the confidence that comes with a win over a top 25 team. If Coach Holtz can teach them how to handle success, as this article says, there could be no stoping the Pirates! Then, there's Pat White.....he can stop us all together! Here's hoping for a GAME FOR THE AGES & an ECU victory, but it will be a tough one! And WVU has all the respect in the world from myself & hoards of other ECU fans for always being willing to play us & give ECU a chance! Everyone enjoy the visit & best of luck to the Mounties! GO PIRATES!

Not to detract from a nice win for ECU, like so many times in the past the "Chokies" were severly overrated.
